Hublot and Premier League champion Chelsea FC have teamed up on 2 November to celebrate the second chapter of their story. The new Chelsea watch is blue again, of course, but it is no longer a Classic Fusion model. After the Classic Fusion Chronograph Chelsea FC launched in 2016, here is the Big Bang Chelsea FC!
The official presentation of the Big Bang Chelsea FC took place at Stamford Bridge in the presence of Michel Pont, Hublot Big Bang 5 Million Football Consultant and former Assistant Coach of the Swiss National Football Team, Philippe Tardivel, Hublot Marketing Director, Benoit Lecigne, Hublot Brand Director for the UK, France, Belux, Eastern Europe and Scandinavia and Chris Townsend, Commercial Director of Chelsea FC. Chelsea FC star players Alvaro Morata, David Luiz, Danny Drinkwater and Cesc Fàbregas were also present.
The Big Bang Chelsea FC is limited to 200 pieces. It features a 44mm stainless steel case and a bezel made of carbon fiber and blue Texalium. Its blue sunray dial includes three counters at 3, 6 and 9 o’clock, the latter being engraved with “SW6”, Fulham postcode where Stamford Bridge is located.

At 45mm (actually 45.5mm) wide, the Hublot Big Bang Steel Big Bang UNICO is definitely smaller than the King Power, but it isn’t a massive watch. With that said, it wears extremely comfortably. 1 reason behind this is that it is designed not to slip around in your wrist. The particular case and grip design produce a “sandwich” effect where pressure to maintain the eye in place comes from the top and underside of your wrist even if there is excess space on the side. Therefore, regardless of the large size of the circumstance it is designed such that it’s supposed to match well on even medium-to-smaller wrists (like my own). The Hublot Big Bang UNICO also looks effortlessly cool. OK, if trendy for you is classic and reserved then it isn’t cool. If “trendy” for you fits into a more standard definition of “successful risk-taking” then, yes, the Big Bang concept is cool. The exceptionally architected nonetheless symmetrical lines together with the tapering design are both modern but additionally proportionate. Why is the Hublot Big Bang UNICO instances a little different are the large round chronograph pushers as well as this particular style of this hour markers and hands (which do, of course, vary somewhat from dial to dial).
Powered by a self-winding chronograph movement, the Big Bang Chelsea FC has a 42-hour power reserve. The Chelsea lion logo is situated both at 12 o’clock and on the case back crystal. To put the final touches to this all blue look, the strap comes in rubber and blue alligator with a stainless steel deployant buckle clasp.
